it means that if you have an untreated STD ( are not currently taking medicine for it, or cannot show your medicine to the accessing doctor), then you will not be allowed in the military. But if you are taking a medicine for genital warts that you have, then you should be allowed in.

The excerpt you provided basically means that, if you’ve been diagnosed with an STD, you must be treated successfully prior to being allowed to enlist.

If you have an STD like herpes which will potentially recur through flare-ups and cause a problem later, you must have documentation which proves that treatment through prescription medications is successful and stops the flare-up. If your medical history shows that treatments don’t work for you, you will be considered disqualified.

Basically, the military does not want someone who has a condition which may potentially hinder accomplishment of the mission.

I hope your tests come out negative. Regardless, USE A CONDOM!

if you do not have VISIBLE genital warts – everything is fine and you will not be DQ! relax! :)
